Once you subscribe, the school’s calendar will appear inside your calendar app alongside your personal calendar.

Dress Code / Uniforms

WGHS does not require uniforms, but students should wear clothes suitable for school activities. Specific guidelines are provided in each year the Parent/Student Handbook.

For PE classes, a uniform is required (gray shirt and black shorts). There is generally an opportunity to purchase PE uniforms from the school at orientation and back to school night.

Absences

Please review the school’s absence reporting procedures:

Athletics

If your student is interested in sports at WGHS, make sure to complete the student-athlete registration and indicate all sports your student wishes to try out for in the upcoming year. Fall sports parent welcome night is on Monday, August 17, at 6:30 pm in the main gym. (You’ll see details on that school calendar that you just subscribed to!) For more information about athletics programs, visit the WGHS website.

Important Apps

Stay connected all year long with these essential apps.

Get weekly principal newsletters, parent-org updates, news from the school district, and other important announcements throughout the school year.

Also known as the “Parent Portal”, update household contact information, see your student’s schedule, official grades and attendance records.

Students use this app to track and submit assignments. Parents can become observers to see syllabuses, view assignments and keep track of grades.

Parent Volunteer Organizations

Four separate parent organizations, run by dedicated parent volunteers, work together at WGHS and WGMS to help ensure your children have a well-rounded school experience during their middle and high school years.

Find us at all major school orientation and info nights and get involved!

Every August we hold a combined evening informational meeting where you can learn more and ask questions.
